Rx for Health: Clinical Nutrition Support

Patients who are at risk of developing chronic health conditions receive a prescription for fresh produce at the Hāna Health farm stand. Transitioning to a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can help prevent the onset of diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic conditions.

School Produce Box Distribution: Nourishing Our Keiki

Hāna Health distributes healthy snack boxes to Hāna Elementary School students twice weekly. This initiative supports student health and academic success by increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

ʻAi Pono: A Partnership with AlohaCare

ʻAi Pono is a benefit available to AlohaCare plan members. Rooted in traditional Native Hawaiian practices of using food to nourish the body, mind, and spirit, participants receive fresh seasonal produce, nutrition education, and cooking support through recipe sharing.

Mai E ʻAi (Come, Let’s Eat): Sustaining Our Community

The Mai E ʻAi project is designed to improve food security for Hāna families experiencing financial stress. Locally sourced fresh produce and protein are included in grocery bags distributed weekly. This program is made possible with County of Maui Support.
