Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting practices of the organization, applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to prepare financial reports/statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Ensures the smooth operation of the accounting department combining leadership responsibilities with day to day accounting duties.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Establishes and maintains appropriate financial controls for the organization.
- Develops and maintains proper accounting records, policies, procedures, and adequate internal controls.
- Maintains financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Assures proper handling, control, and accountability of Hana Health assets.
- Develop and maintain employee compensation records, including payroll, earned time off, health benefits, retirement, and payroll taxes.
- Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Performs bank reconciliations.
- Reviews status of third-party reimbursement claims.
- Prepares reports of financial information for internal use.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare monthly statements.
- Prepares financial management reports.
- Maintains the organization’s standing with external individuals and agencies.
- Makes certain that all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintains relationships with auditors and auditing staff as necessary.
- Provides records, analyses and other information required for external financial audits.
- Supervises and trains accounting staff and assures they meet performance requirements.
Skills
- Ability to work with accounting software such as Blackbaud.
- Strong skills working with spreadsheets such as Excel.
- Ability to present complex accounting information in an easy to understand format.
- Excellent arithmetic and mathematical skills.
- Ability to delegate tasks.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team to produce results.
- Excellent customer service and client satisfaction skills.
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting or higher. A minimum of five years’ prior experience working in an accounting role preferably in a FQHC. Experience leading a small team, overseeing tasks and organizing a department is also a plus.
Compensation
Salary Range: $125,000 – $140,000 annual

Family Practice/Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO)
Works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient/family-focused care. Provides the full range of primary medical care for patients of all ages, including urgent/emergent medical services. Call is required.
Qualifications
Medical or Osteopathic doctorate degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of residency in Family Medicine at an accredited US residency program. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; ACLS, PALS and BLS certification; Current DEA and Hawaii State Narcotics registration.
Compensation
Salary Range: $220,000 – $240,000 annual

Food as Medicine Program Manager
Responsible for leading and coordinating Hana Health’s Mai e ʻAi Food as Medicine Programs. The manager serves as the operational link between Hana Fresh kitchen/farm stand staff; clinical and administrative staff; and community partners, ensuring high-quality, culturally relevant services that improve the health of program participants and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure all program participants complete required wellness exams and nutrition consultations.
- Support families through enrollment, follow-up, and reminder systems.
- Coordinate meal and produce box distribution in partnership with Hana Fresh kitchen and farm stand staff.
- Track outcomes, maintain records, and support program evaluation and reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and community partners to align services.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Administration, or related field preferred (experience may substitute).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in health, nutrition, or food service program management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with chronic disease prevention and community-based health programs.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Make a difference in the lives of our patients and community. HANA Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. This role provides counseling, intervention, and case management services at both our main clinic and school-based site, helping patients overcome barriers to health, wellness, and quality of life.
What You’ll Do
- Provide behavioral health services, including mental health evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, couple, family, and substance abuse counseling.
- Identify and address barriers encountered to improve patient access to care.
- Collaborate with clinic staff, providers, and school personnel to integrate complete patient care.
- Facilitate wellness groups, health education programs, and support services.
- Utilize community resources and make referrals to ensure patients receive appropriate levels of care.
- Perform case management, including appointment coordination, advocacy, and follow-up tracking.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Hawai‘i state license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in evidence-based interventions and familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills.

Psychologist
Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health clients, and effective treatment planning to assist clients in successfully achieving goals. Participates as a member of an integrated primary care team in developing care management processes such as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education to improve self-management of chronic disease.
Qualifications
PhD. with Hawaii License. At least three years of experience, preferably in providing integrated behavioral health care in a primary care setting.
