Hāna Health
Assistant Director
Provides assistance to the Executive Director in the administration and management of the organization.
- Assists the Executive Director in providing a broad range of general leadership and management services to the organization.
- Works with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic and operational plans, taking responsibility for particular areas and functions as assigned.
- Assists with the development of new clinical programs based on community need and opportunity.
- Assists with the preparation of grant applications and grant monitoring to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
- Develops and manages the Emergency Response/Preparedness plan.
- Manages implementation of the Security Risk Assessment and remediation plans.
- Oversees the 340 B program.
- Oversees facility activities and data to aid in planning, risk management, and to improve service utilization. Maintains awareness of advances in medicine, diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, and health insurances changes.
- Assists with resource development activities and public information and outreach programs.
- Provides operational support to the Clinic Manager and health center staff.
- Develops and implements operational policies and procedures consistent with strategic and operational plans, and in accordance with Federal and state laws, regulations and funding source requirements.
- Participates in performance improvement projects requiring research, development and implementation of strategies, and policies and procedures.
- Ensures organization and staff compliance with primary health care policies and procedures as well as with those of external regulatory bodies; gathers data and prepares reports for submission as required.
- Assists with managing the human resources functions of the organization.
- Develops and implements programs, policies and procedures for the recruitment, on-boarding, development and retention of employees.
- Develops, implements and maintains an employee safety program.
- Manages a broad range of administrative services as assigned.
- Assists with the maintenance and management of facilities and equipment.
- Assists with providing oversite of the Hana Fresh farm division.
Skills
Possesses a high level of specific professional knowledge, including written and verbal communications skills, computational, computer and technical skills, and mathematical knowledge.
Able to prepare documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.
Uses Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements.
Develops sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements.
Education
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Administration, Public Administration, Health Education or Business Administration or equivalent formal training. A high degree of executive capability.
A high degree of executive ability as demonstrated through six (6) years of full-time experience in a healthcare setting, preferably an FQHC performing administrative and management duties. Three years must have included supervisory experience.
Compensation
Salary Range: $145,000 – $160,000 annual, depending on experience.

Family Practice/Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO)
Works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient/family-focused care. Provides the full range of primary medical care for patients of all ages, including urgent/emergent medical services. Call is required.
Qualifications
Medical or Osteopathic doctorate degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of residency in Family Medicine at an accredited US residency program. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; ACLS, PALS and BLS certification; Current DEA and Hawaii State Narcotics registration.
Compensation
Salary Range: $220,000 – $240,000 annual

Psychologist
Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health clients, and effective treatment planning to assist clients in successfully achieving goals. Participates as a member of an integrated primary care team in developing care management processes such as the use of guidelines, disease management techniques, case management, and patient education to improve self-management of chronic disease.
Qualifications
PhD. with Hawaii License. At least three years of experience, preferably in providing integrated behavioral health care in a primary care setting.
Compensation

Senior Accountant
Responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting practices of the organization, applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to prepare financial reports/statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Ensures the smooth operation of the accounting department combining leadership responsibilities with day to day accounting duties.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Establishes and maintains appropriate financial controls for the organization.
- Develops and maintains proper accounting records, policies, procedures, and adequate internal controls.
- Maintains financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Assures proper handling, control, and accountability of Hana Health assets.
- Develop and maintain employee compensation records, including payroll, earned time off, health benefits, retirement, and payroll taxes.
- Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Performs bank reconciliations.
- Reviews status of third-party reimbursement claims.
- Prepares reports of financial information for internal use.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare monthly statements.
- Prepares financial management reports.
- Maintains the organization’s standing with external individuals and agencies.
- Makes certain that all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintains relationships with auditors and auditing staff as necessary.
- Provides records, analyses and other information required for external financial audits.
- Supervises and trains accounting staff and assures they meet performance requirements.
Skills
- Ability to work with accounting software such as Blackbaud.
- Strong skills working with spreadsheets such as Excel.

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting or higher. A minimum of five years’ prior experience working in an accounting role preferably in a FQHC. Experience leading a small team, overseeing tasks and organizing a department is also a plus.
Compensation
Salary Range: $97,500 – $108,000 annual

Hāna Fresh
Kitchen & Farm Stand Manager
Responsible for the overall, hands-on operation of the Hana Fresh Farm Stand and back of the house commercial kitchen. Sorts, packs, displays fresh produce for sale. Participates in grab and go food preparation. This is a “hands-on” position, spending a large portion of time working directly with the team to fulfill the day to day functions of the kitchen and farm stand. Supervises staff, purchases food and stock, assures all staff are trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. Ensures that standards are upheld, recipes are followed, food looks good and is cooked properly, portions are correct and packaged appropriately. Makes sure kitchen and farm stand are properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.
Qualifications
In depth knowledge of running a production kitchen including food preparation. At least two years of management experience with stable work history. Experience with farm stand operations and food sales. Food Safe Certified. Must be highly motivated and well organized. Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, manage others while working as part of a team and expedite production during peak periods. Lots of energy and a positive attitude.
Compensation
Salary Range: $70,000 – $82,000 depending on qualifications.
